In the past week and change, I had all my motivation leave me.
But the idea is that when the motivation leaves, discipline steps in.
But in this situation, discipline was barely enough.
I will be the first to admit that it is really hard for me to admit when I struggle with something. And because of that, I’ve been fairly silent about my lack of motivation.
But the truth of the matter is that I have been having a HARD time putting the effort into my workouts.
One of the beliefs that I’ve always subscribed to is the idea that if you just get dressed and go to the gym, you’ll feel more inclined to start working out.
I’ve done this more that I care to admit lately. And it has lead to some lackluster workouts.
It’s hard to have goals and deadlines but not the energy or motivation to really put the effort into training.
Thankfully, I know that days like this don’t last forever and I can keep forcing myself to do what needs to be done until I am in love with it like I was only a few weeks ago.
